We Love Books! A World Tour
An Exhibition for the “Mois du graphisme d’échirolles”
21st November 2008 - 31st January 2009

More than 100 graphic artists, from Asia, Oceania, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, North and South America introduce us to some unusual and inventive books.
They invite us into their studios and the bookshops, libraries and literary cafés of the towns or countries in which they live. From New Zealand to Norway, from Japan to Peru, from Egypt to Canada and Holland to Argentina, they accompany us on their very own world tour of books.
“We Love Books!” is an exhibition bringing together books from the four corners of the earth. Foreign designers, whether graphic artists or typographers, will be invited to show their work at Echirolles, throwing a new and fascinating light upon generally accessible publications.
Unexpected, surprising, colorful and endlessly inventive, these books offer a myriad of links between the different forms of written expression all over the world. For two months, “WE LOVE BOOKS!” will provide a unique and enriching platform for the exchange of different viewpoints.
The exhibition will be a rare opportunity to re-examine old beliefs and to see things from new angles - a panorama enabling us to take a kind of snapshot of books as they are today.
Majid Abbasi and Saed Meshki will be a part of this exhibition from Tehran.

In 2008, the Mois du Graphisme d’Échirolles, a major date in the graphic arts calendar, will be celebrating its 18th birthday.
