International Poster and Graphic Design Festival of Chaumont

The International Poster Competition is an integral part of the resounding success of the Chaumont Festival, representing 25,000 entries, its catalogue of contemporary posters is one of the largest collections in France, and forms a unique panorama of graphic design production over the last twenty years in over sixty countries.
A selection of posters will be exhibited at the Entrepôt des Subsistances and a jury of five internationally renowned graphic designers, representing four continents, will award three prizes on Saturday 24 May, 2008. Majid Abbasi will be a member of international jury from Tehran. The same jury will also hand out an Icograda “Excellence Award.”
The 15th “Students, all to Chaumont!” Competition will be looking at the universal and social topic of relations between men and women. A selection of the received posters will be exhibited at the Entrepôt des Subsistances, and a jury will award three prizes, on Saturday, May 24th, 2008.
Seven Workshops, along the same topic as “Students, all to Chaumont!” will host 105 students from around the world, and will be lead by Majid Abbasi (Iran), Anschlaege (Germany), Nicholas Blechman (USA), Doppelpunkt (Germany), Kiko Farkas (Brazil), Igor Gurovich (Russia) and Juliette Weisbuch (France).
